2024 Business Book of the Year Winner
The Financial Times and Schroders today announced that Parmy Olson is the winner of the 2024 Business Book of the Year Award for Supremacy: AI, ChatGPT and the Race That Will Change the World, published by Macmillan Business (UK), St. Martin’s Press (US). Supremacy is the behind-the-scenes story of the personal and commercial battle to establish dominance in artificial intelligence.
Supremacy saw off strong competition from a shortlist of titles with subjects ranging from the quest to achieve better economic growth, the purpose of technology, the evolution of the corporation, and the impact of tribal instincts and improving longevity. Parmy will receive a prize of £30,000!

The Longlist
We are delighted to showcase the 16 longlist books for the 2024 Financial Times and Schroders Business Book of the Year Award. This year's book titles shed new light on some of the most pressing business issues of the moment.
20th Edition of the Financial Times and Schroders Business Book of the Year Award
Celebrating its 20th year, the prestigious Financial Times and Schroders Business Book of the Year Award is renowned for highlighting the finest in business literature. Launched in 2005, this distinguished global award includes a top prize of £30,000, awarded to the author(s) of a book that delivers the most compelling and enjoyable insights into modern business challenges, spanning topics from management and technology to climate change, finance, and economics. Each of the remaining finalists will be honored with £10,000.
The award's panel of judges will be led by FT editor Roula Khalaf. Publishers are encouraged to submit their books digitally, adhering to the specified submission deadlines* The selection process begins with the determination of a longlist in August, followed by the narrowing down to up to six finalists. The shortlist will be unveiled live in September from New York. The grand announcement of the winner will take place at a special ceremony in London in December.
